Presents From Italy with Love

On September
19, 2014 the Grand Ballroom of the Italian
American Club was filled with Opera Arias by Internationally acclaimed
opera stars of the Nevada Opera Theatre Association. Eduardo Villa, Tenor and Demetra
George Soprano took the stage for an evening of From Italy with Love.
Eduardo
Villa has appeared in opera houses throughout Europe and in North America. His
title roles have been in Don Carlo and Emani, Don Jose in Carmen, Pinkerton in
Madame Butterfly and many more. He is a regular guest of the Bavarian State
Opera, Rome Opera, Paris Opera and the Metropolitan Opera.
Also sharing
the stage was Demetra George who has graced the stages all over Europe and the
US. Demetra has a repertoire of 20
operetta roles and has appeared at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
Eileen Hayes is the founder and director of the
Nevada Opera Theatre Association and she along with Denny Weddle, President of the Nevada Opera Theatre, brought this
special evening to the I.A.C. for
everyone to enjoy, in some of the most famous opera selections.
Appearing on
the stage was Soprano, Sheronda McKee
who has won many awards and most recently won the Pasadena Opera Guild
Scholarship.

Many
celebrities were seen in the audience enjoying the evening festivities, such as
our beloved Dondino who is loved by
all and the Society of Seven, a
contemporary Hawaiian singing group.

We want to
thank Angelo Cassaro, President of
the Italian American Club who hosted this special “From Italy with Love”
concert. The club is open for dinning Weds-Sunday 5-11 pm and features Italian
cuisine and is located at 2333 E. Sahara Ave.
