The Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Elvis
Presley’s Graceland held a press conference to introduce the new permanent Elvis
attraction showcasing hundreds of artifacts. Elvis was at the Westgate Las
Vegas, originally the International Hotel and then later the Hilton Hotel,
where he performed over 600 shows. Joel
Weinshanker, managing partner of Graceland Holdings LLC and David Siegel, founder and CEO of
Westgate Las Vegas Resort brings Elvis back home after a 40 year absence. Many
stars and celebrities were in attendance and eager and excited to hear the
Elvis news.

Visitors
will experience the journey through Elvis’ life and career as they view a
wooden sign advertising his first performance at the New Frontier, the
$1million dollar tablecloth contract and a black two-piece tunic he wore in his
first show. Other artifacts include his high school yearbooks, his first gold
album,a 1962 Lincon continental, 1971 Stutz Blackhawk, his 1957 Harley Davidson
motorcycle and jewelry. These are some of the hundreds of never before seen
artifacts outside of Graceland in the 28,000 sq.ft. Exhibit that will be in the
newly revamped old Star Trek space.

said it was his destiny to buy the property, and is thrilled to bring Elvis
back in the building. The grand opening of the Elvis Presley Museum, the live

David Siegel
has been busy renovating the entire hotel and is determined to bring it back to
its glory days and wants to make it the friendliest hotel in Las Vegas,
treating everyone as a high roller. Westgate Las Vegas has 100,000 sq ft
casino, 200,000 sq ft meeting space, 3,000 units of which a few hundred will be
converted to time shares each year and will have 30% of rooms left for hotel
reservations. It has an iconic superbook with the biggest race and sports book
around. With 62 acres of prime land, it will be busy developing it for the next
25 years.
I took a tour of the Sky Villas and spent some
time in the Conrad Suite which is a fabulous place to stay. It features 12,600
sq ft with a private pool, 3 bedrooms, dining room and great room.
