The first
annual UNLVino BAR-b-que was held on
April 21 at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, headlined by
Celebrity Chefs Scott Conant of Scarpetta, Angelo Sosa from Poppy Den and
Gustav Mauler of Spiedini. The chefs showcased their fabulous gourmet dishes
from their signature restaurants.

Also
participating were other well-known chefs from Charlie Palmer Steak (Four
Season Hotel), Diego (MGM Grand), and Todd English P.U.B. (The Shops at
Crystals) One of my favorite dishes were the scallops from Todd English which
brought me back for seconds.

extraordinary event with farm fresh to table foods that were provided by local
farmers and made and served with love by the best chefs in Las Vegas. www.UNLVino.com

Mixologist Francesco Lafranconi of
Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada introduced craft cocktails that were
featured in three bars throughout the event and also conducted demonstrations
on the main stage.
MG M Grand President and COO Scott Sibella was the guest of honor at
this 39th annual UNLVino affair and was presented with the Dom Perignon Award of Excellence. Scott
was recognized for his excellence and leadership in his 25 years in the
industry.

This year’s
theme was “Fall in Love Again” and we surely did fall in love with the food and
spirits that flowed endlessly for three hours, causing us to not only fall in
love, but to stay in love. This event rounded up the four days of UNLVino who
has raised millions of dollars for scholarships to aid UNLV students all over
the world.
Designer
Jessica Galindo created one of her fabulous paintings that was raffled off to
one lucky participant. Jessica is a fashion and fine art lovechild.
