Kevin Burke

On June 1, 2012 Defending the Caveman celebrated its Sixth Anniversary, starring Kevin Burke at Harrah’s, Las Vegas. Kevin Burke does a fantastic job explaining the difference between men and women and claims that the Cavemen actually worshiped their women. In his 75 minute, brilliant monologue, he explains how the caveman has been misunderstood.

The show starts with a montage of video showing couples with typical everyday stuff, like how to do the laundry, by smelling the clothes, and using and controlling the remote control etc. http://www.defendingthecaveman.com/

The media received the Date Night at the Cave invitation which started with delicious food at Flavors Buffet and then the Caveman Show at 7:00 pm. My favorite part of the meal was the ice cream.

The stage set was reminiscent of the Flintstones with a rock chiseled T.V. set, an arm chair and a drawing of a bison and a fertility goddess and child. Kevin came on stage and looked around and said “men are assholes”, and not one man responded or got angry at the remark. That’s when Kevin pointed out the differences between men and women and said if he came on stage and said “women are bitches” the women would have responded.

Kevin Burke has polished and mastered his presentation and is very specific as he describes the men as the hunters and the women as the gatherers. The hunters focus on a target and go get it and the women gather and collect things for themselves and others and pay attention to everything around them. Women can multi task where as men can only concentrate on one thing at a time. Women will gather a lot of information and always has the details to share with everyone. Men don’t get any details. It was hitting home with the audience and I saw men and women poking each other, nodding their heads and laughing.

Defending the Caveman is a must see show with your loved one because after you see the show you will understand your loved ones better and fall in love with each other once again. If you can’t get enough of Kevin Burke, then go to his other show downtown at Fitzgeralds, “Fitz of Laughter”. He is so funny in his stand up comedy routine that will have you laughing the entire night. I love his humor and his story telling and he is one of the great entertainers here in Las Vegas.
