Visitors will experience the journey through Elvis’ life and career as they view a wooden sign advertising his first performance at the New Frontier, the $1million dollar tablecloth contract and a black two-piece tunic he wore in his first show. Other artifacts include his high school yearbooks, his first gold album,a 1962 Lincon continental, 1971 Stutz Blackhawk, his 1957 Harley Davidson motorcycle and jewelry. These are some of the hundreds of never before seen artifacts outside of Graceland in the 28,000 sq.ft. Exhibit that will be in the newly revamped old Star Trek space.

David Siegel has been busy renovating the entire hotel and is determined to bring it back to its glory days and wants to make it the friendliest hotel in Las Vegas, treating everyone as a high roller. Westgate Las Vegas has 100,000 sq ft casino, 200,000 sq ft meeting space, 3,000 units of which a few hundred will be converted to time shares each year and will have 30% of rooms left for hotel reservations. It has an iconic superbook with the biggest race and sports book around. With 62 acres of prime land, it will be busy developing it for the next 25 years.

I took a tour of the Sky Villas and spent some time in the Conrad Suite which is a fabulous place to stay. It features 12,600 sq ft with a private pool, 3 bedrooms, dining room and great room.

Suzanne used those years to write 25 books of which five were number one and 13 were New York Times bestsellers. Actress, bestselling author, entrepreneur and health advocate are some of the words that describe the beautiful 68 year old woman and now she can add dancer to the list as she performs, and is fabulous, on this season of Dancing with the Stars. It is with great pride that she shares her love for her handsome husband, manager Alan Hamel, who she is still madly in love with after being married for 48 years. They are such a handsome couple.

David Siegel will also open a spa which will include organic cosmetics, hair and skin care, and an organic cafĂ©, with recipes from Suzanne’s cookbook, on the pool deck and David has already redone a suite for her that is organic and toxic free. He stated that it was worth all the money he paid for the hotel just to be able to hug her when she came on stage for the media event and interviews.

The food that was served for the media event was absolutely delicious. David Siegel knows how to get to our hearts.  We got to take some quick pictures before Suzanne made her getaway to fly back to LA for DWTS show.

Vegas Uncork’d hosted the Grand Tasting at Caesars Palace Las Vegas

Bon Appetit Magazine hosted the annual four day epicurean event called Vegas Uncork’d in Las Vegas, bringing out the legendary chefs in the culinary world. Many iconic chefs, including Emeril Lagasse, Guy Savoy, Wolfgang Puck, Gordon Ramsay and Julian Serrano were in attendance and mingled with the guests at Lago in the Bellagio, The Old Homestead Steakhouse and Borders Grill inside Caesars Palace, Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House at MGM Grand and The Buffet at Aria.

Ribs and Burgers was a favorite spot and the Australian Style Cooking was delicious and had large crowds in front of their booth to taste the meats.

Carmines had the most delicious Eggplant Parmesan and Italian Meatballs as their special offerings. The aromas from the Italian cooking drew everyone over to eat their samples. It felt like we were strolling through the streets of Italy.

The Chefs dressed the plates like a painted canvas with colorful food perfectly arranged and to go with this wonderful food was the free flowing wine and spirits. More than 75 award winning chefs were there to celebrate, including Emeril Lagasse, Guy Savoy, Mary Sue Milliken, Susan Feigner Wolfgang Puck, Gordon Ramsay and more.

One of my favorite booths that I go to first is Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay BurGR. The gourmet burger delights are one of the best hamburgers that are cooked over an open flame. Much to my delight I took a picture with Gordon Ramsay which I will now add to my celebrity scrap book. I love Gordon Ramsay and that is one reason I always go to the luxurious Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars when Vegas Uncork’d holds its annual “Grand Tasting” star studded culinary event.

LV AAA Five Diamond Award Restaurants for 2015 were Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace, Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Twist at Mandarin Oriental LV and Picasso and Le Cirque at Bellagio Hotel.
