On November 12-13, 2013 Trade Mission Las Vegas held a two day tour for real estate practitioners from around the globe to network and tour Las Vegas. It was networking, touring and getting to know Las Vegas. A. Ron Evangelista, Chairman of the International Trade Mission arrived at the Gold Spike early to prepare gift bags, with Linda Griner, the Realtor Ambassador for Australia and “Realtor to the Stars”. (Linda Griner and A.Ron Evangelista)

Tamara Larisa Tyrbousla, co chairman welcomed the international attendees, city officials and the members from GLVAR. The day started with a walking tour of the downtown projects with Zappos, who has bought over 40 buildings and plans to renovate them. Ron Evangelista put Container Park on the tour that will now foster and incubate future businesses. A 130 seat theater is part of the downtown projects. (Tamara)

The highlight of the morning was when former Mayor Oscar Goodman arrived with his famous Showgirls to greet the crowd. When Oscar Goodman was mayor over 10 years ago, he had this dream to bring the glory of big business’s back to “Downtown Las Vegas” and his dream is coming true with all the new developments .<photo022>

Some of the tour stops included The Veer at City Center, Red Rock, Summerlin, Anthem and Seven Hills. It was a successful international event that showed what Las Vegas has to offer to our International Investors. (Ron Evangelista)

A smoothie, juice and coffee bar full fills all diet conscious preference for everyone. The Green Goodness and Berry Good 4 U were so delicious, I had to have seconds on those drinks.

Some of the delicious new foods the chef’s made for us was the No pasta Vegetarian Lasagna-sweet potato, kale & eggplant. The Hanger Steak Chimichurri, truffled Israeli couscous w/wild mushrooms and the Greek Pide Assortment. We were in heaven eating this food.

To kick off the festivities a fund raiser was held for The Shade Tree, a women, children and pet shelter. Presto Café will donate 20% of all profits from the dinner sales from now until December 31, 2013. The homeless and abused find a welcome shelter there and can remain from 30 to 90 days and transitional up to two years if need be. 100%of the services are free of charge. There is an activity center there for the children and the women can be prepared to get jobs and improve their lives once again. Carlos Oscar is Squeaky Clean on Stage

Photos by Nikki Artale

Carlos Oscar is a storyteller who finds the humor in everyday life and that usually will include his wife and kids and his Latino heritage. Carlos is energetic, funny and very natural on stage. He makes you feel like he is visiting you in your living room and talking about everyday life.

A cocktail reception was held inside the Tempo Lounge in the LVH (Las Vegas Hotel & Casino) just prior to his 8:30 show. I didn’t know what to expect in his clean comedic show but I was looking forward to his comedy.

As Carlos Oscar told his stories, he adapted various characters and voices to match the characters. He talked about situations that occur every day and his observations of how people react to them. I found him to be very funny and related to everything he was saying to be true in my perception of life. Life in itself is funny and I always find the humor in life.

Carlos has shown that you can be clean and be funny and you definitely should go and see his show and have a squeaky clean time. www.carlososcar.com
